Pescara
Despite its fairly modern appearance, the city has been known and frequented since at least the 1st millennium B.C., making Pescara a very important cultural and historical center. Pescara is a seaside city and reflects this in its proncipal monuments and museums.
We recommend spending a full day in the city to visit the imposing Cathedral of San Cetteo, the Sacrocuore Church, and the Piazza della Rinascita.
Don't miss the modern Ponte del Mare bridge that joins the two Rivieras of Pescara by passing over the river of the same name.
Rich in fishing tradition, it offers the chance to visit unique installations such as the Trabocchi, ancient structures that made it possible to fish without going out to sea and that represent an important testimony to the past that is worth a close look.
The gastronomic richness of the city and the region are endless, leaving aside fish dishes, among the most famous dishes are pasta "alla chitarra", arrosticini and sisee dele monache.
